Mr. Kunte got his diploma in Cinema specializing in Sound Recording and Sound Engineering from the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune in 1968. He started his career under the legendary, late Shri Mangesh Desai and his guru Shri Vasant Parmar. He worked for the Films Division-Government of India and has recorded such Classical masters as Pt. Ravi Shankar, Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, late Pt. Kumar Gandharva etc. He has worked on numerous Ad films, short films and documentaries. (Two with the late Satyajit Ray) He has various technical publications to his credit and has designed commercial Audio studios. He is also the Technical Advisor to Education Technology Cell, Worli, Government of Maharashtra. He has been teaching for the last 20 years and is the Chief Course conductor and Teacher in the Certificate course in "Sound Recording and Reproduction" and the "Advanced course in Sound Recording Technology" at the Mumbai University.

3. AVINASH OAK, Hon.SECRETARY

A veteran, of almost three decades, in the audio recording industry, he joined Film & TV Institute Of India (FTII) at Pune in 1970, and graduated in sound recording in 1973. In 1986, he completed a special course for studio engineers at University of Surrey, England, conducted by APRS. In 1974, he Joined Western Outdoor Media Technologies Ltd., one of the leading recording studios of Mumbai, as an Asst. Sound Engineer and currently holds the post of Associate Director- Audio. In his long career at the studios, he has recorded innumerable radio & TV commercials, audiovisual sound tracks and designed sound for many a Son-et-Lumiere. He has to his credit more than a hundred albums of private artists, drama sound tracks, Ballet sound tracks etc. Moreover his name is associated with many a hit Bollywood musical film of as a song recordist. A visiting lecturer in sound recording at Mumbai University Music Dept. & at SNDT University. He has also conducted guest lecture/demonstrations at FTII, Pune, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Ahmedabad & Industrial Design Center- IIT-Powai.
