Part 1 - Introduction :
Till some time back, when I used to introduce myself as a Voice artiste, the response used to be “bolte toh hum sab hain... kaam kyaa karte ho?! (all of us talk, but what work do you do?)” Not anymore though (thankfully).
Today, Broadcast communication skills like professional voicing for television channels, television and radio advertisements, Voice dubbing for films, animation series, serials, cartoons, Anchoring radio shows as an RJ (radio jockey), reading News as a News Anchor (phew!! the list is endless), etc. . . are coming up as very interesting and promising career options in the Broadcasting industry in India.
Being a professional Voice is much more than being just a good voice. For a layman, a line is just a line which has to be spoken. But for a trained Voice, a Line is a Story, that needs to be told well.
Professional Voicing forms a part of the growing industry of broadcast communication skills that is coming up in India in a huge way and people from all walks of life ,cutting across age groups and educational and professional backgrounds are today excited to learn more about the world behind the microphone.
