MUSIC DIRECTORS

Sahil Jagtiani, Bangalore

Born in Mumbai, 25 year old, Sahil Jagtiani, is a singer,
songwriter and guitarist who has been involved in music from an
early age, playing in two progressive and multi-cultural rock
bands from Hong Kong and London during his high school and college days. His whole outlook to music changed when he met Poojya Sri Sri Ravi Shankarji, becoming more inclined towards satsangs and bhajan music. It was the earlier influence of western music that would give him the desire to produce bhajans and make him present the same in a more contemporary manner.

Sahil graduated from King's college, London with a Bachelors of
Science Degree in Business Management as well completing his
Masters of Science Degree in International Management from
Birkbeck College in London.

After playing in many satsangs (devotional concerts) for the Art
Of Living all over India, Sahil Jagtiani released his ten song
debut album 'Avataran' from Times Music on 14th December 2002. The album aims at promoting bhajans in a more universal manner. It is hoped that those who would not necessarily be inclined to listen to or buy "bhajan or satsang music" might find this album more to their liking, especially the youth. There is a fusion of Indian and Western influences and elements in this album that give a world music appeal to it.

Young Sahil is currently working on two more projects, one of which will be the followup album for Times Music called "Avataran II" and the other a hard house album with many Indian influences under the name of "Tandav". Both will be centered around the element of bhajans and devotional music.
