A young talented vocalist has earned a reputation as a good performer among the connoisseurs of Indian classical music. She has had the advantage of being born and brought up in a family of renowned musicians. Her mother Smt. Usha Pandit being the desicple of Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki, has been her foremost guru.

However, Devaki began her formal training at the age of ten under Pt. Vasantrao Kulkarani for 7 - 8 yrs. Later received tutelage from renowned artist Padmabhushan Smt. Kishori Amonkar for 4yrs. Presently she is learning under Pt. Babanrao Haldankar.

Devaki has performing since the age of 9 at various functions. Her first Balgeet Record was released in 1977 ( Polydor ). She has received numerous interschool and inter collegiate trophies, from the Rotary Club, IIT Powai, etc.

Devaki has performed for the Indian Music Group , In the presence of stalwarts like Pt. Mallikarjun Mansur, Kal Ke Kalakaar, Yuvonmesh, Sangeet Natak Academy ( Delhi ), Sangeet Mahabharati, have been among the few organisation she has performed in the past. She has received the State Government Award for the best playback singer in 1986.

Recipient of the prestigious Kesarbai KerKar Scholarship given by the National School for Performing Arts, Devaki undoubtedly has a bright future.
