 Krishna Bhat,Vasai
Krishna obtained a degree in vocal music from Dharwad, Karnataka University. He was initiated into music by Pt. Gurunath Bhatt of Gosai Gharana.
Krishna also started learning tabla from Pt. Seetaram Naik, a well known disciple of Pt. Lokmanya of "Delhi baj". Following this, Krishna went on to obtain a sangeet visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Miraj. He then stood 3rd in the state of Karnataka for a senior grade examination.
Krishna was awarded the coveted Sur-Mani award in 1994. He is currently learning from Pt. Satyasheel Deshpande, a disciple of Late Pt. Kumar Gandharva. Krishna is an assitant director at Samvaad Foundation, an archival research centre which preserves, documents and diseminates Hindustani Classical Vocal Music.
He is also a B-High grade artiste of All India Radio and teaches music too.
