As soon as you receive your Eventide Audio plugin serial from SudeepAudio.com, follow these steps carefully.

Before You Begin

You will need to provide three peices of information as part of this process:

1. iLok.com User ID & License Manager

  1. If you don’t have an ilok.com account, you can create one for free by visiting iLok.com
  2. Download and install the free iLok License Manager to activate and manage your plug-in licenses.

2. Eventide Account

  1. If you don’t have an Eventide account, Click here to Register.
  2. A confirmation email will be sent after completion. If you don’t see it, check your spam folder.

3. Serial Number & License Key

The Serial Number will be two letters followed by 6 numbers (i.e SR-######). The License Key will be 3 sets of 4 characters, a letter or a number, each; like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Received a free plug-in? If you received a license for UltraChannel or EQuivocate through a giveaway, they cannot be registered to your Eventide account. Ownership (and upgrade eligibility) is verified via iLok. Installation files are available here.

Registering Your Plug-in with Eventide

  1. Register your plug-in using your Eventide account, iLok user ID, serial number and license key.

Activating Your Plug-in

  1. Find your plug-in license in the iLok License Manager and activate it on your computer.
  2. Download the plug-in installer and run it on the same computer as your DAW and iLok License Manager.
  3. Launch your DAW. If you do not see the plug-in, you may need to rescan.

Using iLok License Manger, you can activate the license in two separate locations, each of which can be either a computer, or an iLok license key. You can move these licenses at any time using PACE’s iLok License Manager software.

If you have installed and authorized your plug-in and it still doesn’t show up in your DAW, try the following:

Mac OS X:

Simply go to your DAW’s preferences and rescan your plug-in. Note that Eventide no longer supports 32-bit plugins.

Windows:

It is possible that you need to add the following paths to your DAW’s list of VST folders. Open your DAW’s VST Preferences and add the applicable folder:

Windows 32-bit OS:
32-bit DAW: C:Program FilesCommon FilesSteinbergVST2

Windows 64-bit OS:
32-bit DAW: C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesSteinbergVST2
64-bit DAW: C:Program FilesCommon FilesSteinbergVST2

After doing this, perform a plug-in rescan in your DAW. Note that the following DAWs sometimes require additional steps:

Studio One:
  1. In the VST preferences, and make sure “Scan at Startup” is checked.
  2. Also click “Reset Blacklist” in the VST preferences, and then restart Studio One.
Cubase
  1. Go to Devices->Plug-in Manager and click Plug-in Manager->Rescan all. Occasionally Cubase needs to be forced to rescan the plug-in folder.

Eventide has its own preset format using .tide preset files. By default the installer installs the .tide presets to your Documents/Eventide/<Plug-In Name>/Presets folder on Windows, and Music/Eventide/<Plug-In Name>/Presets on Mac. It may be necessary to check that the installer has placed the presets in the proper location. You can load these presets using Eventide’s Preset Bar which is part of the plug-in GUI itself.

Some hosts have their own preset bars which are used by the host. Eventide’s .tide presets will not show up in this preset bar. To load an Eventide Factory Preset you have to use the preset bar which is inside the actual plug-in GUI, usually below the hosts preset bar.
