Some users will want to close their Cloud Sessions to be able to move an activation to a physical device or computer.<\/p>\n<p>Not all computer systems will have a reliable Internet connection, so moving the activation to the iLok USB hardware is an option for those users.<\/p>\n<p>Opening an iLok Cloud session, will move the session to the computer you are at and will close the session in the old location.<\/p>\n<p>When you close the iLok Cloud session, it will remain closed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"v-csslayout v-layout v-widget content-wrapper v-csslayout-content-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"v-customlayout v-layout v-widget v-has-width view v-customlayout-view support-view v-customlayout-support-view\">\n<div class=\"secondwrap\">\n<div class=\"singlecolumn\">\n<div class=\"contentbox\">\n<div class=\"contentboxtop\">\n<div class=\"contentboxbottom\">\n<div class=\"contentboxframe\">\n<div class=\"main-content\">\n<div id=\"supporthome\">\n<div>\n<div class=\"v-csslayout v-layout v-widget guidedhelp v-csslayout-guidedhelp v-has-width\">\n<div class=\"v-csslayout v-layout v-widget guided-help-answer-related-faq v-csslayout-guided-help-answer-related-faq\">\n<div class=\"v-label v-widget guided-help-related-answer v-label-guided-help-related-answer v-has-width\">\n<p><strong>How do I <em>move<\/em> an activation from my iLok Cloud?<br \/>\n<\/strong>In iLok License Manager versions 4.0 &#8211; 5.0.3, an iLok Cloud must be closed before an activation can be moved.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"v-label v-widget guided-help-related-answer v-label-guided-help-related-answer v-has-width\">\n<p>In the iLok License Manager (4.0 or greater), go to\u00a0<strong>FILE -&gt; Close Cloud Session<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the iLok Cloud session is open on another computer than the one you are on, simply Open Cloud Session first, then Close Cloud Session.<\/p>\n<p>The license you wish to activate will then be found in the \u2018Available\u2019 tab in your account.<\/p>\n<p>With iLok License Manager version higher than 5.1, dragging an activation to a new location will move the license. The operation may open a cloud session if it was closed. iLok Clouds that are open on a remote computer are visible to you in version 5.1 as well.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"v-button v-widget guided-help-related-question v-button-guided-help-related-question\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\"><strong><span class=\"v-button-wrap\"><span class=\"v-button-caption\"><br \/>\nHow do I <em>open<\/em> an iLok Cloud Session?<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"v-button v-widget guided-help-related-question v-button-guided-help-related-question\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">In the iLok License Manager (4.0 or greater), go to\u00a0<strong>FILE -&gt; Open Cloud Session<\/strong><\/div>\n<div tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\">\n<p>When the iLok Cloud is opened, the activation server will automatically activate cloud-enabled licenses. If more than one license is available, the activation server will make a \u2018best guess\u2019 to load the most appropriate one.<\/p>\n<p>When you open an iLok Cloud Session, the session will remain open on this computer. Communication only occurs in the iLok Cloud session when a cloud-enabled license is being used.
