In an industry often associated with technical jargon, serious faces, and a “no-nonsense” attitude, one group of professionals is challenging the stereotype: sound engineers.<\/p>\n

As the unsung heroes of live performances, recordings, and events, sound engineers are often overlooked, but they are the ones who make sure that the music sounds just right, the voice is crystal clear, and the audience feels the energy of the performance.<\/p>\n

And, contrary to popular belief, sound engineers are also a fun bunch.<\/p>\n

“Sound engineering is a highly technical field, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun while doing our job,” says Shantanu Hudlikar<\/strong>, a veteran sound engineer with over 3 decades of experience. “In fact, having a sense of humor and being able to adapt to unexpected situations is essential to our work.”<\/p>\n

Sound engineers have to work long hours, often under pressure, and deal with various challenges, such as equipment malfunctions, artist requests, and unexpected weather conditions. To cope with these situations, they rely on their technical expertise and problem-solving skills, but also on their ability to stay positive and enjoy the process.<\/p>\n

“We love what we do, and that passion shows in the way we approach our work,” adds Vijay Dayal<\/strong>, Chief Sound Engineer at YRF Studios, Mumbai. “We are not just pushing buttons and turning knobs; we are creating an experience for the audience and the performers, and that is a lot of fun.”, says another veteran, Mujeeb Dadarkar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
