Sudeep is a Hindi word meaning pure light. It is not the name of a person from the family of the founders.

Sudeep Studio, our parent company, was setup on September 23, 1977 by Mr. Nikhil Mehta alongwith his nephew, Sunil (more like his eldest son). The aim was to spread that 'pure light' of compassion by helping the musicians of the day with excellent recording facilities at very affordable prices. Nikhil recorded some of today's finest musicians, singers and composers. He is a part of innumerable private albums, popular TV serial title songs of 1980s/90s, many plays/dramas, radio jingles, etc. etc. recorded at the fairly large studio facility in Andheri. The studio was then shifted to Ahmedabad in the mid 1990s.

In 1999, SudeepAudio.com was launched as India's first pro-audio portal and website for selling CDs by independent artists and music books. Over the years, the store has expanded to include professional studio equipment as well as original music software and plug-ins and now caters to the whole of India.

India's leading composers and musicians, radio/TV stations, production houses and recording studios from various cities are our regular customers for the equipment we represent. We have achieved such positive feedback only because of ensuring that we understand the customer's requirements better, and have never been 'box-pushers'.

Time and again, we have taken several initiatives that have enabled a connected music and recording community of India. Our YouTube channel (started in 2011), converSAtions, has been one of the most watched channel by the Indian music creator community. Other initiatives include our professional blog SAundCheck with contributions from top industry members, and a first in the world fun game section - Pro Audio Games. We now also help customers list their USED equipment on the reSAle section, without charging any commission or fees.

At Sudeep Audio (SA), we hope to continue the work that our founder started in 1977, with our core philosophy being: "to always be honest and helpful to the music creator and pro audio community".
