Narayan Mani has achieved a name as one of the most acclaimed performer of the 'Saraswathi Veena' in the Carnatic System of Music and as an innovative Music Director.

He had his initial training in Carnatic Vocal Music and Veena from his parents - Late Shri Narayan Subramani and Smt. Saraswathi Mani. He received further training from Smt. Lakshmi Krishnaswamy and Padmashri Prof. K.S.Narayanaswamy.

He has several concert recitals, recordings, music direction projects to his credit and has been a recipient of several gold medals. He has toured extensively to various countries viz., England, France, Germany, Holland, Austria, Sultanate of Oman, Singapore, Malaysia, Hongkong, Taiwan, Reunion Islands and Russia.

He has been an integral part of the Indian Film Industry for the past twenty years and has performed and presented concerts and lecture-demonstrations for several TV channels viz. Music Asia, Zee, Alpha, Star etc. He has also participated in various cultural conferences including the International Computer Music Conference held in Hongkong.

As a Music Composer, he has provided music to various films, serials, documentaries, ballets and jingles. Some of his award winning projects include the film - 'Diksha' for which he has arranged music and has composed music for the Malayalam film - 'Janmadinam' which has been awarded three Kerala State Awards in the year 1999 and has also been presented at the International Film Festivals held in Berlin, Cairo and Milan.
